Hours
Residential Hours (No appointment needed):
- Monday – Friday: 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon
- Residents must unload their own materials. OCRRA cannot provide assistance.
Commercial Hours:
- For hand-unloading: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM
- For dump vehicles: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Holiday Closings: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Our Ley Creek Drop-Off Site in Liverpool is closed until further notice for long-term construction. Residential customers are welcome at our Rock Cut Road Transfer Station in Jamesville weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Commercial customers utilize the Rock Cut Road Transfer Station as well, but during different hours.
FEES
Cash, check and credit cards accepted.
Residential Vehicle Entrance Fees:
- Cars: $15
- Pickup trucks, SUVs, vans, single-axle and dual-axle trailers: $30 (truck bed and trailer loads must be tarped)
(Loads may be assessed an additional fee, depending on size or type of load. Learn more about what items are acceptable.)
Alternatively, residents may purchase trash bag stickers for $3 each, online or at the site. You do not pay the vehicle entrance fee if you dispose of bags of trash using stickers. You do not pay the vehicle entrance fee if you only bring in recyclables. There is a $2 fee per visit to drop off recyclables.
Residential Food Scrap Drop Off:
We accept food scraps from residents who hold a current Compost Site Pass.
Commercial Fees:
All commercial customers will be directed to the scale to determine charges, as outlined below. All vehicles MUST BE TARPED. Learn more about what items are acceptable.)
Commercial Municipal Solid Waste (Trash) Scale Fees:
- For small-business users with an OCRRA agreement: $105/ton
- For users without an OCRRA agreement: $125/ton
- Minimum scale charge: $30
Commercial Construction and Demolition (C&D) Scale Fees:
- Construction debris: $60/ton
- Roofing material: $60/ton
- Minimum scale charge: $30
Additional Disposal Fees (Applies to Residential AND Commercial Customers):
Fees charged in addition to regular disposal fees. These charges defray the cost of properly disposing of these items in compliance with environmental regulations. If you ONLY drop off these special items, you do not pay the flat rate fee based on vehicle type.
- Appliances with refrigerants: $15 each (refrigerators, freezers, ACs, dehumidifiers, water coolers, heat pumps, etc.)
- Mattresses: $15 each (all mattresses, including foam – any size)
- Microwaves: $5 each
- Tires: Passenger tires up to 20” in diameter (Rims must be removed. No tires over 20”, no off-road or tractor tires. Limit 10 tires.): $7 each
Other Fees and Services:
- Un-tarped vehicle fee: $25 (applies to residential and commercial customers)
- Residential recyclable drop-off: $2 per visit, regardless of volume. (If you bring ONLY recyclables, you do not pay the flat rate entrance fee based on vehicle type.) List of recyclable items.
- Residential trash bag stickers (10-sticker minimum purchase): $3/sticker
For safety purposes, all users agree to comply with staff directions on site.
What is Accepted?
Acceptable as Construction and Demolition (C&D):
- Bricks and masonry (including small pieces of concrete. See size restrictions below.)
- Cardboard
- Electrical fixtures (Ballasts and transformers accepted, but must be removed from fixture. No ballasts or transformers with PCBs.)
- Electrical wiring
- Glass
- Metal (Small quantities only; pickup truck or small single-axle trailer load size.)
- Non-asbestos insulation (e.g., pink fiberglass insulation)
- Paint cans (Must be empty and dry, without lids.)
- Plumbing fixtures
- Pressure-treated wood (Size restrictions apply, see below.)
- Roofing shingles
- Siding
- Untreated wood (Including pallets – see size restrictions below)
- Wall covering, drywall and plaster
Acceptable as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW):
- Appliances / white goods (Surcharge for items with refrigerants.)
- Carpeting
- Furniture
- Household garbage
- Mattresses and box springs
- Metal (No large machinery.)
- Microwaves (Surcharge )
- Tires (Surcharge applies. Limit 10 passenger tires; no rims and no tires larger than 20″. Off-road and tractor tires are not accepted.)
- Treated woods (Size restrictions apply, see below.)
Acceptable as Food Scraps:
- The Rock Cut Road Site accepts food scraps from residents that hold a Compost Site Pass.
Size Restrictions:
- Asphalt, concrete, and pavement (No larger than 3’x3’x4’.)
- Rocks (No larger than 2’x2’x2’.)
- Wood (No larger than 4’ in any dimension.)
What is Prohibited?
- Animal remains
- Ash
- Batteries such as: ion or lead-acids; learn how to manage other battery types here.
- Biological waste
- Compressed gas cylinders, including propane tanks
- Concrete – large sheets (incidental rubble mixed in with loads of other material are accepted)
- Drums and tanks
- Electronic waste including computers, TVs, printers, etc. (haulers will be assessed an additional surcharge of $20 per item if these items are found in trash loads.)
- Explosives
- Food processing waste
- Hazardous Wastes including:
- Asbestos – containing material, including transite
- Automotive fluids
- Chemicals
- Oil-based paints
- Pesticides
- Petroleum products
- Pool supplies
- Liquid wastes, including sewage and water-based paints
- Medical Waste, including sharps and syringes
- Mercury-containing items including fluorescent bulbs, thermometers and thermostats from households, not businesses.)
- Radioactive materials, including adult diapers used after radioactive isotope treatments
- Yard waste
