#1 - Reuse
Think arts and crafts! You can reuse egg cartons to hold different colors of paint or to store things like beads.
See if local farmers or schools are accepting egg carton donations.
The paper pulp egg cartons can be used to start seeds/plants or be broken up and added to your compost.
#2 - Dispose
If you cannot reuse your egg cartons, please put them in the trash, whether made of paper pulp, Styrofoam or plastic. They do not belong in a recycling bin. Egg cartons made from paper pulp have been recycled so many times that their fibers are not large enough to be recycled again; all egg cartons belong in the trash.
