#1 - Recycle
Industry standards have changed and lids or caps for bottles, jugs, jars and dairy tubs can now be firmly reattached to the container. Loose caps fall through equipment end up as trash. When the container and the cap are handled together, as one item, they both get recycled.
#2 - Dispose
Loose lids should be put in the trash, as well as lids that do not belong on plastic bottles, jugs, jars or dairy tubs.
