Scammers are getting savvy. They can create emails, web pages and other messages that seem real at first glance. Protect yourself. Never respond to a suspicious email. It isn’t worth the risk.
Always take steps to verify information, but never call the number provided in an email. It may not be real. Instead, call the agencies you need to reach directly.

If you believe you’ve been scammed or if you’ve opened a fradulent attachment, immediately changed your password and contact your financial institutions if you believe your personal data is compromised.
