Here’s a great way to keep tackling litter all year with the city of Syracuse. Volunteers are needed for the Adopt-a-Block program again this year. Mayor Ben Walsh promised to help the 200th registrant during their first cleanup.

Litter left in neighborhoods often gets washed into storm drains, leading to pollution in our waterways and impacting our beautiful natural resources and wildlife. Adopting two blocks for a monthly cleanup will help Syracuse properly dispose of litter and improve the quality of life.

OCRRA Executive Director Kevin Spillane teamed up with Recycling and Reduction Director Kristen Lawton and OCCRA Board of Directors Chairwoman Corey Driscoll Dunham for some litter cleanup during the annual kickoff. WATCH to learn more!
