#1 - Recycle
Air conditioners can be delivered to OCRRA’s Rock Cut Road Drop-Off Site in Jamesville. Since there is refrigerant in air conditioners that requires special handling, a fee will apply.
#2 - Reduce
To reduce waste, use fans instead of an air conditioner whenever possible. Fans use less electricity and do not release harmful CFCs.
#3 - Reuse
1) Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts air conditioners for reuse under certain conditions.
2) OCRRA’s reuse links also list free online exchange websites.
