OCRRA would like to say thank you to the residents of Onondaga County for their enthusiastic recycling efforts at C3. While open, OCRRA collected over 1.7 million pounds of electronics and over 700,000 pounds of books at C3 for recycling!

Best Buy (All local stores), Accepts electronics including TVs; some size restrictions apply. There is a $10 fee, but you receive a $10 Best Buy Gift Card for recycling.

Accepts electronics including TVs; some fees apply, except on Sony, Zenith, LG, and GoldStar electronics, which are accepted for FREE.

If you have electronics, in good working condition (including TVs),
an alternate "disposal" option, is to offer them for free to the local community for reuse. How you ask? Try an online material exchange sites. Check out the sites listed here, such as AroundAgain, ReUseIt or Freecycle and give your electronics a new home!
Both use the power of the internet to connect people who have things they need to get rid of (such as working televisions), with people who can use them. Sign up to become a member (it’s free) and join thousands of other local residents who are using the internet to keep materials out of the trash.
* Wherever you dispose of you old computer, it is a good idea to destroy your hard drive so your personal information doesn't find its way into someone else's hands. You can wipe your hard drive of information using software and / or physically destroy it by drilling holes through the hard drive.
** NOTE: If you have a TV that is 8 years old or newer and still works, please help our community and donate it to the Salvation Army.
